Work..

I am currently employed as a software engineer at Wright State Research Institute where I have the amazing opportunity of working with cutting-edge UAS technologies. I have been working with WSRI (in this position) since the summer of 2012 and so far it has proved to be a very rewarding experience. My first encounter with the institue was in 2011, but more on that later..

During the school year of 2012 I was able to brush-up on my LAMP stack development skills at Edison Materials Technology Center in Dayton, OH. As Web Programmer I worked with PHP, Smarty template engine, CodeIgniter MVC framework, jQuery, and MySQL to create unique web applications to suit our internal needs as well as those of our customers.

In 2011 I landed my first position with WSRI and the Wright State Center of Excellence in Human-Centered Innovation (big thanks to my friend Blake Ward.) I helped with development for a project which aimed to provide training in cross-cultural communication. This was accomplished through user interaction with a virtual environment featuring photo-realistic 3D models with detailed facial expressions, natural reactions, and real-time voice recognition. My experiences working on the project included modeling and animation with Autodesk Maya, level design and scripting in Unreal Engine, and motion capture with iPi Studio software.
