About me..

Hey! My name is Kyle Preuss and I am a software engineer and web applications developer from the Dayton, OH area. I am well versed in several languages including C++, C#, Java, VB, Scheme, PHP and Ruby on Rails.

I also have experience with a variety of technologies including: Apache web server, MySQL and Oracle 10g databases, HTML5, CSS3, XML, XSLT, jQuery, MVC frameworks, Autodesk Maya, Unreal Engine, iPi Motion Capture, the Hadoop map/reduce framework and many more.

Other interests include drumming and martial arts. I've had a Pearl set for almost 13 years now and can enjoy playing any style; I like funk and jazz rhythms but love to play rock and will even bust out the double-bass if that's what you're craving. I also have a Yamaha electric set for keeping it quiet or recording a quick track. Btw, I'm a proud user of Zildjian A Customs and Vic Firth 5A's.

I have a black belt in Itsumo-Kaeru-Do, or "Ever Changing Way", which is a style based on fundementals from Korean, Chinese, and Japanese styles - Taekwondo, Kung Foo, and Karate, respectively.
